Usually black is associated with the sadder and darker aspect of life. However,
in this instance, black is used to convey the unknown. We depend
on our intuition to help us find our way through this unknown to
discover meaning in our life. The textures of gold, brass and silver
are used in the Intuition Series to express this quest for meaning
and understanding.
Watercolor/Woodcut
Watercolors on woodcut are used to demonstrate the flow of colors on a
fixed image. Because colors depict the shades of our feelings each painting
tries to express a different emotion or mood depending on how the colors
evolve.
Watercolor/Brass
This series consists of a strong concentration of watercolors, which were applied several times behind a pattern of brass. The watercolor movement is meant either to flow with or against the brass creating tension and texture.
Sculpture
There
are many objects in our daily surroundings that we often take for granted.
However, in another medium these objects can easily take on a new dimension.
I find that wood is very good at expressing the uniqueness of these objects.

Strasbourg
is one of those rare cities where a confluence of cultures, particularly
German and French, has created a unique sense of identity. I find that
this is poignantly expressed in “The Many Faces of Strasbourg”.
One can easily find these faces located throughout this beautiful city.
